7.23 减肥感悟
Hey guys, it's Ethan—welcome back to the channel!
So… I've been on a mission this month to lose 12 pounds. Sounds intense, right? But here's the thing—despite having such a tight schedule, I still found myself eating way too many high-calorie foods. Fried chicken, fries, Coke… you name it. I don't know about you, but I have this bad habit of procrastinating until the very last moment to get things done. Anyone else like that?
Anyway, I've been working out pretty much every day. Mornings? Push-ups and squats. Evenings? I go for a run after work. But let's be real—exercise alone doesn't burn nearly enough calories to make a huge dent. When it comes to weight loss, controlling what you eat is way more important. That said, working out is still great for your heart and lungs, so I'm not skipping it.
Starting on the 20th, I began tracking my workouts, sleep, meals, and study time. It's been four days so far, and I think I'm doing okay. For breakfast, I've been having a bowl of black sesame porridge and three eggs. Lunch and dinner? Chicken breast, cucumbers, broccoli, and rice—all home-cooked.
Oh, and every afternoon I treat myself to a latte. It's not super high in calories, but it does give me a little sweetness to look forward to. Honestly, even if I skip a meal, I don't really feel hungry. The problem is—my cravings. That's the only reason I ever go for cheat meals. But not this month. Nope. I'll save those for next month.
Lately, I've also been keeping a daily journal and using AI to help me translate it into English. At first, I wasn't sure if this method would actually work. But then I saw someone on YouTube who used the exact same method and became fluent. That really calmed my nerves.
Here's how it works: you write about your daily life or things you're interested in using your native language. Then translate it into the language you're learning. After that, you memorize, rewrite, and read it out loud until it sticks. Because the content is super personal and interesting to you, it's way easier to stay consistent.
Alright, today's vlog ran a little long, but I hope you enjoyed it!
