先来看下这个题目
先让我蛐蛐一下这个Succession，他和Success的拼写真就前面一模一样了是吧；
这个succession有三个意思：①继承the action or process of inheriting a title, office, property②连续的东西a number of people or things sharing a specified characteristic and following one after the other③生物上的演替the process by which a community of plants and other organisms changes gradually, giving way to a sequence of community types that is predictable in a given type of habitat
Seasonal Succession季节性演替 refers to the predictable, cyclic change in the species composition, abundance, and dominance within a biological community over the course of a year, driven primarily by seasonal variations in the physical environment 
Phytoplankton浮游生物，要是不懂也没关系，第一段第一句就直接来了定义：minute, free-floating aquatic plant
1.此minute非彼minute，时间上的读min·​ute，形容词上读mi·​nute，就是tiny的意思。要是不懂感觉只能在cd读（前提是知道Phytoplankton是什么）
2.temperature is not likely to be the sole cause定位到第二句末尾说 temperature has been suggested as a cause，下面第三句说unlikely to be the sole cause。定位成功，答案问why那可以就在这个because后面：species that become dominant species at various temperature&v(change of temp)<v(replacement of dominant species)。
a.temperature of seawater change是最后一句得到的第二个点：v(change of temp)<v(replacement of dominant species)。但是这里只是和replacement of dominant specie比较，并没有扯到频度（often），错
b.temperate seas在第二句，这个是前文佐证temperature是一个cause的，和本题（not likely to be the sole cause）无关；

语法补丁：Furthermore后面的这个rather，一般来说学过的句型都是有a rather 形容词 than b。但是这里直接就一个rather，直接读有点小懵，原因在于rather是可以直接相对地用，比如：It's rather cold today。ai说：“rather” 这个词在学术、科技或正式写作中非常常见。它帮助作者表达一个适中的、经过斟酌的判断，避免了使用像“very”或“extremely”这样可能显得过于主观或绝对化的词。这是这个句子中“rather”非常关键的一个作用。作者通过“rather slowly”先建立一个基准（温度变化慢），然后使用“much more rapid”来引入一个更强烈的概念（物种更替快）。这种用法有效地突出了两者在速度上的显著差异，使对比更加鲜明。如果没有“rather”，句子变成 “temperature changes slowly…”，对比依然存在，但力度会减弱。“rather” 的加入使得“slowly”的程度被稍微强化，从而让后面的“much more rapid”显得更加突出。
3.问为什么要讲highlight句
这段话开头说了一个suggested reason：the change in nutrient level→phytoplankton species。后面来了个while，表转折，所以划线句的内容是给反驳nutrient level→phytoplankton species的
a.正确。这里我死扣了argue这个词，因为这个词正确记得都是反驳，所以看这个a感觉双否定，那意思就错了，然后就错选了
b.这个才是说反了
c.sensitive to changes未提及

语法补丁：argue后面既可以跟支持的观点，也可以跟反对的观点。不要死记反驳
4.metabolites secreted by phytoplankton定位到2、3句开始。
a.dominant specie对应最后一句，这里选项冒出了个less，错误

d.对应到开头第一句去了。由于我只从2、3句开始看，a没看出来，d就错选了
5.dinoflagellates定位到第二句
a.对应第二句which后面，正确。这里我在做的时候一直在纠结，第二句前面只是在说Some are likely toxins，那就不能肯定是produce了，但是这里的such as的是toxins，但是不是Some
b.对应第四句前半部分。这里第三句后面说dinoflagellate cell，第四句开头的主语cell是能对上题目问的dinoflagellates。little amount of 对应minute amount of （minute还和第一题呼应上了），正确
c.clams and mussels藏在最后一句，这个做的时候是真的差点没找到。正确
d.dangerous only to根本找不到，未提及，错，选他
6.thiamine对应到第三句,这道题实际上定位很tricky：thiamine是和一些举例混在一起seem to be the most generally required的东西，后面就没有了；这里问的是phytoplankton species that cannot produce thiamine，题干又出现了这玩意，就很懵。没办法只能继续看：后面说Some species may be unable to thrive until a particular vitamin，这样接在一起我只能推断这个thiamine也是维生素的一种（毕竟举例肯定都是举例同类别，thiamine前面一堆维生素。我总不能举例苹果香蕉然后来一个橡皮吧。实际上查了下也确实是：B1）再往后面看好像绕远了：说维生素只被another species所produced。最后一句终于把这个关系说出来了：species（produce vitamin）···species（× produce vitamin）
再回来看题目：题目问的是species（× produce vitamin）
a.意思反了,选项意思变成species（×produce vitamin）···species（× produce vitamin）
b.never become未提及。虽然感觉是像，但是人家原文只是在描述事实
c.正确，这里把原文的vitamin聚焦到了thiamine，虽然逻辑上可能有bug：可能也会跟着produce其他维生素的，但是这个逻辑不是托福要考的
d.未提及
生词：hence表承接
7.copepod定位到第二句开头，问关于这个的信息
a.phytoplankton对应到copepod后面一点。这里只是说copepodpick out selected phytoplankton species，并不是说它是！copepod→（selected）phytoplankton！
b.stationary定位到第一句grazers内部，这个stationary animals是grazers的定义，不是本题
c.selective grazer对应到第一句末尾，这里说influence the phytoplankton species composition，相关表述在第二句末尾也出现：changing the species composition。功能相同，所以可以推断copepods和larvae是一个东西
d.invertebrate larva是和copepod并列的对象，不可能是这个
8.a。全文脉络类的我不擅长，就不赘述了
9.分析插入句：In fact说明In fact后面的东西和前文①承接 + 强调/补充②弱转折（澄清 / 校正）③加强对比，一般①偏多；那这样，不管怎么说，前句肯定都要和globe（Arctic to the Tropics）有关系。四个选项中只有b前面有提到wide variety of locations，选它。这样看下来，in fact这里选的就是①了
