Answer：

APM Event

This is an old event class (back in the 2.x versions), but they are no inactive and are no longer used

APM Event v2

This event class is active and used for all App Visibility Manager (AVM) events within the App Visibility Portal.  When TrueSight Presentation Server (TSPS) is connected to the TrueSight Infrastructure Management (TSIM) ,then the App Visibility Portal will populate the events to TSIM.  The event information are in the class slots.

To be more accurate, the APM_Event_v2 event class extends APM_Event with slot apm_application_id. Practically, the base APM_Event is not used directly any more.
