中国茶道

China is a country with a time-honored civilization and also a land of ceremony and decorum. Whenever guests visit, it is necessary to make and serve tea to them. Before serving tea, you may ask them for their preferences as to what kind of tea they fancy, and serve them the tea in the most appropriate teacups. In the course of serving tea, the host should take careful note of how much water remains in the guests’ cups.Usually, if the tea is made in a teacup, boiling water should be added into the cup when half of the tea in it has been consumed; and thus the cup is kept filled and the tea retains the same bouquet.

Thanks to the rapid growth of digital economy, China has embraced mobile payments faster than any other country, and will continue to lead the global charge in this regard.

茶马古道

The Ancient Tea-Horse Road is a trade route in the southwestern region of China, with horses as its main means of transportation. It is the highest and most dangerous ancient road for civilization transmission known to the world today. It existed as a trade route for over 1,000 years, starting from the Tang Dynasty until the 20th century. Like a large corridor, the Ancient Tea-Horse Road connected all the peoples along its way. It developed the local economy, stimulated the commodity markets, and boosted agriculture and animal husbandry. In the meantime, the art, religions, customs and cultures were also spread widely. Today, the Ancient Tea-Horse Road has become an important tourist route.

中国父母现状

Some Chinese parents tend to pay too much attention to their children’s study to such an extent that they even don’t require their children to help them do the chores. For such kind of parents, the primary requirement for their children is to study hard, get good grades and go to famous universities. They believe this is good to their children because in a society full of intense competition, only perfect academic performance can ensure a bright future. Such Chinese parents also believe if their children can make great achievements in the society, they will receive respect accordingly. Therefore, they are willing to sacrifice their own time, hobbies and interests to provide better conditions for their children.

电子商务

E-commerce is an emerging business model. It makes people’s life more convenient and rapid, allowing people to purchase products they desire without going out and making comparisons and choices according to one’s sorting preference in the process. However, while offering convenience, e-commerce also brings problems such as products of fake brand, cut-down of services, fraud on price and other phenomena. Therefore, consumers should keep clear mind when selecting e-commerce to consume.

长城

The Great Wall, with a history of more than 2,000 years, was regarded as a wonder of China. From a bird’s-eye view, it is just like a dragon winding itself from west to east, stretching for approximately 6,700 kilometers. Since the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the walls had been put up to defend the borders by the kingdoms. After the founding of Qin Dynasty, Qin Shi Huang had all the walls joined together to make “The Great Wall”. While most of the walls were ruined in wars, the majority of the Great Wall we see today was mainly built during Ming Dynasty. If you come to China without climbing the Great Wall, it’s just like going Paris without visiting the Eiffel Tower; or going to Egypt without visiting the Pyramids! As a saying goes, “He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man”, which is evidence of its grandeur.

大学生就业

The employment difficulties of college students have become a hot issue of widespread social concern. The reasons for this predicament are many. First of all, some college students’ inappropriate career value orientation and employment concept cause them to lack a clear positioning of themselves and a lack of purpose when choosing a career. Secondly, some employers blindly set employment conditions, the most important of which is the experience barrier, making it difficult for many fresh graduates to get employed due to the lack of practical work experience. In addition, the methods and concepts of some higher education schools are out of date, with the major settings being out of touch with the market demand, which makes it difficult for college students to find jobs because their majors do not meet the market demand.

一带一路

The “One Belt and One Road” Initiative aims to achieve win-win and shared development. China remains unchanged in its commitment to foster partnerships. China pursues an independent foreign policy of peace, and is ready to enhance friendship and cooperation with all other countries on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence. China is the first country to make partnership-building a principle guiding state-to-state relations. It has formed partnerships of various forms with over 90 countries and regional organizations, and will build a circle of friends across the world.

中国结

The traditional Chinese knot, one of the most popular traditional folk arts in China, was originally invented by craftsmen and has become an elegant art after centuries’ improvement. In ancient times, people used it to record events, but nowadays it is used mainly for decoration. Red is a prevalent colour for the traditional Chinese knot. “Knots” in Chinese language stands for love, marriage and reunion. The traditional Chinese knot is usually used as a gift or ornament, which is believed to bring good luck and get rid of ill fortune. Handed down from generation to generation, this form of art is becoming increasingly popular not only in China but all over the world.
